I think the only reason SOME Groffchele fans want Lea and Jon to be together is because they don’t like Jon being gay and not being in love with any female. If he were straight, they’d probably hate the idea of Groffchele. I love Groffchele because they’re completely adorable even as best friends.
As far as I’m concerned, them being best friends is enough unless they’re current boyfriends mess up - but, if that happens, they’ve got each other to provide the comfort only a best friend can provide.
